Five Fun Things

How great is Amy Poehler’s podcast Good Hang? Her recent interviews with Mindy Kaling and Matt Damon brought out so many gems. I loved hearing about their odd jobs before acting and all the behind-the-scenes intel. Remember this chilling scene in The Talented Mr. Ripley? “I hated [Philip Seymour Hoffman] so much that day,” says Matt Damon. “It was like a fucking Marvel superhero coming out of him. And he sucked me right into it… And we liked each other! You know what I mean? But that was not, that was not in the room.”

I got a salon pedicure the other day for the first time in…years? I was in a hurry, so I chose Fast Track Cherry by Dazzle Dry — and it turned out to be such a gorgeous color, highly recommend. My friend Rony just got an “empty-nester dog,” as she calls it, and her name is…wait for this…Miss California 2025!!! How freaking cute is that? “I’m not usually a dog person,” Rony told me, “but I’m in love with her.”

Anton’s deep thought, after seeing an old friend who’d had a major growth spurt: “Bro, this is the only time in life where you don’t see a friend for six months and suddenly they have like a beard.”

Finally, every couple years, I refresh my underwear drawer with 12 new pairs, instead of always hunting for old ratty ones. Well, I just did this with Stripe & Stare multipacks (apparently the “world’s comfiest knickers”), and they feel SO GOOD. I went for black, sand, and, just for fun, neon!
