G Adventures invites industry bosses to join G Trek for Good
Fundraiser in Peru will support Planeterra and Abta LifeLine
G Adventures is urging senior travel industry professionals to join its G Trek for Good fundraiser, which will take place in the Peruvian Andes next June.
The 28-mile trek from Cusco to the Inca city of Choquequirao in Peru will raise money for Abta LifeLine and Planeterra – a non-profit organisation set up by G Adventures.
Thirty volunteers from the travel industry are sought to take on the five-day challenge to hike to the lesser-known and harder-to-reach Inca city.
The event will take place on June 15-20 and cost £320. For those who want to add on an extension to Machu Picchu, the cost is £520.
Each hiker must also raise at least £1,000 and the deadline to register is January 31. Click here for details.
This year’s G Trek for Good raised £31,000, thanks to 21 industry professionals who trekked through the Colombian jungle to the ancient Lost City.
It followed similar walks up Mount Toubkal in Morocco in 2022, and Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro in 2019.
The three Treks for Good have now raised more than £130,000 for Planeterra and Abta LifeLine.
