Hoseasons adds two resorts to upmarket staycation collection
‘Magnificent’ range now features nine resorts
Hoseasons has added two more resorts to its upmarket ‘Magnificent’ collection.
Kielder Waterside (pictured) in Northumberland and Darwin Forest in Derbyshire have become the eighth and ninth resorts under the high-end brand.
Hoseasons launched Magnificent in 2022 with four luxury staycation locations and bookings are currently up 43% year on year.
Luke Hansford, Hoseasons’ senior vice-president of supply, said: “Only locations with a genuine ‘wow’ factor are considered for our Magnificent Collection, and that’s exactly what guests can expect from Kielder Waterside and Darwin Forest – high-end accommodation, premium facilities and exemplary customer service – all of which are in great demand from the modern day self-catering customer.”
Kielder Waterside is located by one of the largest man-made lakes in Europe and boasts stargazing pods, BBQ huts and swim spas.
David Hall, head of commercial at Northumbrian Water, which owns Kielder Waterside, said the move would help showcase the resort.
“Becoming a part of Hoseasons’ Magnificent collection was the obvious next step in our journey. Our team are already embracing the brand and are excited to be part of this opportunity,” he said.
Darwin Forest promotes high-end pampering and beauty therapy at its woodland retreat close to Matlock and Bakewell, on the edge of the Peak District. It has been a Hoseasons partner for 30 years.
Nick Grayson, executive chairman at Pinelog Group Limited, parent company of Darwin Forest, said the partnership had helped keep its holiday parks “at the forefront of the industry”.
