Jamaica Tourist Board rewards 60 travel agents after incentive campaign

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB UK) has rewarded 60 travel agents with £60 each for logging their bookings to the destination during an incentive campaign earlier this year.

Running from January 1 to March 1, the 60 for 60 scheme was launched as part of the country’s promotion and celebration of its 60th anniversary of independence.

These winners and other agents also have the chance to win a place on one of the Jamaica Tourist Board’s diamond jubilee familiarisation trips.

Torrance Lewis, Jamaica Tourist Board district sales manager, said: “We are looking forward to thanking our hard-working travel agency partners by welcoming them to Jamaica.

“I’m pleased to say there will also be further opportunities to secure a place on our coveted familiarisation trips as we will be launching a series of incentive programmes throughout the year.”

Agent Maria Kavanagh (main picture), of Tui in Wood Green, said: “The Jamaica Tourist Board never fails to deliver great incentives for its agents and I’ve found previous experiences such as the One Love Affair held in Jamaica to acknowledge top-performing agents really valuable.”

Another agent, Karan Hopkins, Holiday Elite (Worcester), added: “The Jamaica Rewards platform has been a useful tool for not only registering Jamaica bookings and earning rewards, but making contact with the sales and marketing team at the tourist board for any enquiries.”
