Jules Verne launches new European walking tours
Seven trips offer slow-paced walks with experiences
Small group tour operator Jules Verne has launched seven new European walking tours for this year.
The slow-paced trips range from Italy’s Dolomites to Crete, the Algarve and Côte d’Azur and aim to combine an active adventure with inspiring experiences.
The seven-night Walking in the Secret Algarve, departing on November 2, 2024, offers gentle coastal walks past beaches, rock formations and hidden coves as well as rambles through the volcanic mountain range of the Serra de Monchique and protected parks on the quieter western coast.
It costs from £1,675, which includes return flights with easyJet from Gatwick and seven nights at the four-star Tivoli Lagos Algarve Resort, breakfast, six dinners, five guided walks, some excursions and a local guide.
Other new trips are: Walks & Gardens of the Côte d’Azur tour, which includes coastal walks and the nine themed gardens of Villa de Rothschild; Walking in the Italian Dolomites, which features the three peaks of the Tre Cima di Lavaredo and hiking along old military routes; and Walking in Crete, which takes in olive groves, mountains and ancient villages. All three are seven nights.
