Lam to Succeed Retiring Cathay Pacific CEO Tang
Cathay Pacific CEO Augustus Tang will retire from the company Dec. 31, the carrier announced Tuesday, and current chief customer and commercial officer Ronald Lam will assume the CEO role.
Cathay Pacific CEO Augustus Tang will retire from the company Dec. 31, the carrier announced Tuesday, and current chief customer and commercial officer Ronald Lam will assume the CEO role the next day. Lam will continue to serve as chair of HK Express, according to the company.
Lavinia Lau has been promoted to chief customer and commercial officer from director of customer travel and will become an executive director on the Cathay Pacific board, also effective Jan. 1.
Chief operations and service delivery officer Greg Hughes will retire in 2023 and be succeeded by Alex McGowan, current director of service delivery, effective April 1.
