Everything you need to know about Protected Trust Services and its latest rebrand

Protected Trust Services (PTS) offers support, services and software to travel professionals, providing all the tools you need to be successful in the industry. With over 15 years’ experience and more than 150 partners, it’s the perfect all-in-one platform for everyone from tour operators to travel agents and homeworkers to streamline their businesses.

Following an exciting rebrand, new and current members might be wondering what this means for them and how the company can take the stress out of running their travel business.

Q. What is Protected Trust Services?

A. PTS offers a comprehensive foundation for all of its members, ensuring they can run their travel businesses stress-free. PTS is for everyone, from tour operators and travel agents to homeworkers and specialists, providing protection through trust accounts, travel software, compliance, franchise Atol and more.

Plus, PTS gives members a flexible system where they can choose their own travel suppliers or access a network of more than 200 partners, leaving professionals to focus on what they do best – selling travel.

Q. How can Protected Trust Services help agents?

A. PTS offers a platform that supports the needs of travel agents and homeworkers. Agents can use the secure system to manage bookings and financial transactions, access a travel supplier database, and make use of software with Atol protection. PTS also ensures full legal compliance while agents retain 100% commission.

The travel software system allows agents to keep track of finances, bookings and client and supplier information in one place. Plus, PTS has minimal fees and makes it easy to sign up for its services.

Members can even benefit from assistance in setting up merchant services with competitive rates, make the most of currency hedging and get advice on aspects of their business such as legal, insurance or compliance with Package Travel Regulations.

Q. What can agents expect from the new PTS?

A. The rebrand of Protected Trust Services gives the brand a new website and company messaging while retaining all the services that make life easy for agents. PTS will be more accessible than ever and continue to take care of the most stressful parts of running a travel business, so agents can focus on fulfilling their personal and professional ambitions.

PTS’s affordable pricing and range of flexible solutions will continue, providing a strong foundation for members to grow. For agents unfamiliar with PTS, there will be more opportunities than ever to get information, advice and become a member.

Q. How does PTS help consumers?

A. PTS’s new mission statement – ‘trust in every booking’ – is a promise to all members, with the PTS trust account system being one of the biggest draws for agents. All consumer funds are held in a secure trust account, which guarantees peace of mind to both clients and travel businesses.

However, PTS offers more than just a trust account, with myriad features designed to make life simple for both agents and consumers, from supplier insurance to multiple currency transactions and a supportive community to share best practice.

Q. What makes PTS different?

A. Not only do travel agents benefit from comprehensive financial protection for themselves and clients, but everything is integrated through the PTS platform, including financial management, client itineraries, Atol certificates, customer information and a huge travel trade supplier database.

For agents, this saves time on admin tasks. But best of all, both agents and clients can log into the PTS software at any time from anywhere to view booking details, itineraries, client-specific documents and more.

Q. What does the future hold for PTS?

A. The rebrand of Protected Trust Services reinforces the company’s dedication to making the industry accessible to everyone. With more than 400 members and counting, PTS continues to encourage members to explore everything on offer, with a goal of reaching 1,000 trusted members over the next five years.

Later this month, PTS will also be hosting its first member and supplier conference, where attendees will get an in-depth insight into the relaunched brand and experience the future of PTS first-hand.
