Last week’s Academy Awards saw Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Travolta reuniting onstage to celebrate the 28th anniversary of “Pulp Fiction.” Now, two of those stars are reteaming for another dark comedy involving a hitman. Thurman and Jackson are signed on to topline “The Kill Room” for Yale Productions, per a press release. Nicol Paone is directing the pic.

The thriller tells the story of a “hitman, his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman), and their money laundering scheme that accidentally turns the hitman into an overnight, avant garde, sensation forcing her to play the art world against the underworld.”

“Getting to make ‘The Kill Room’ – an already incredible script – with Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson is beyond my wildest dreams,” said Paone. “Every moment they’re on screen they are both enviable and eye-catching. I am eternally grateful to both of them for saying yes and I am thrilled to bring this to life alongside Anne Clements, and Yale Productions.”

Paone made her feature directorial debut with “Friendsgiving,” a 2020 comedy led by Malin Akerman and Kat Dennings.

Thurman received an Oscar nod for her supporting role in “Pulp Fiction.” The “Kill Bill” actress can currently be seen portraying Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington in “Super Pumped,” a Showtime series inspired by the highs and lows of Uber.
