Riviera Travel bolsters trade sales team

Riviera Travel has increased its trade sales team to eight with the appointments of a key account manager and agency sales administrator.

Martin Page, who joins as a field-based key account manager from Classic Package Holidays, will manage several accounts and help them grow their Riviera Travel business as well as develop new relationships.

Prior to working for Classic Package Holidays, Page was business development manager for trade sales at Attraction Tickets.

Ashley Walker is re-joining Riviera as an office-based agency sales administrator, who will answer agent questions and enquiries.

He briefly left Riviera to work outside of travel after joining in 2016 as travel consultant and worked his way up to account manager.

He will additionally work alongside Darren Mussell, assistant manager of agency sales, and the on-the-road Riviera team, to help grow the firm’s group business.

Both Page and Walker will report into head of agency sales, Thomas Morgan. With the new appointments, the operator now has an eight-person trade team.

Morgan said: “‘I am delighted to have Martin and Ashley joining the agency sales team.

“Martin is well-known and respected amongst agents and will be a massive asset.

“We have worked with Ashley before and know how good he is, so are thrilled he is re-joining. The addition of both is a real testament to our continued support for the trade.

He added: “We have seen encouraging growth this year and want to make sure we have the resources available to help agents develop their river cruise and escorted tour business.”
