Riviera Travel to operate ‘biggest-ever’ range of solo sailings in 2024-25
Operator adds combination cruises to provide longer voyage options
Riviera Travel will operate its “biggest-ever” range of cruises dedicated to solo passengers in the 2024-25 season.
The operator has expanded its solo cruises collection from nine to 12 itineraries in response to an “incredible” response to its current range, according to head of product Will Sarson.
Riviera Travel has added the six-day Danube’s Imperial Cities & Yuletide Markets cruise calling at Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava, from £1,599; the eight-day Bruges, Medieval Flanders, Amsterdam & the Dutch Bulbfields calling at Antwerp, Amsterdam, Arnhem and Bruges, from £2,499; and the five-day Enchanting Rhine Yuletide Markets calling at Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Bonn and Cologne, from £1,599.

On sale from February 29, the sailings will depart between this December and December 2025.
Additionally, Riviera Travel has introduced a collection of combination cruises for 2025.
Passengers can sail on back-to-back itineraries on five combination cruises with a total of 15 departures.
Sailings range from 15 to 29 days in length and will depart between April and October 2025.
The longest sailing is the 29-day Grand Cruise Through the Heart of Europe to the Black Sea itinerary which will call at Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, Regensburg, Koblenz, Bamberg, Passau, Bucharest, Belgrade and Constanta. Prices start at £7,399.
The 15-day Majestic Rhine, Heidelberg & Switzerland cruise will call at Strasbourg, Heidelberg, Cologne, Rüdesheim, Boppard, Mainz, Speyer, Koblenz and Colmar. The lead-in price is £3,449.
Passengers sailing on the 19-day Grand Cruise of the Moselle, Rhine, Luxembourg & Switzerland will visit Strasbourg, Koblenz, Speyer, Rüdesheim, Cologne, Trier, Luxembourg City, Cochem, Worms, Breisach, Lucerne, Andernach and Bonn. Prices start at £4,949.
“Our new solo itineraries show that we are once again going the extra mile to ensure that independent travellers have a broad range of options to choose from,” said Sarson.
“They can explore the famous festive markets along the Danube and Rhine and discover the likes of Antwerp, Arnhem and the spectacular Keukenhof flower garden on a Dutch bulbfields voyage.”
He added: “The introduction of combination cruises means we can provide longer, more in-depth voyages taking guests deeper into the heart of some very special destinations.
“From exploring medieval Germany on the grand cruise of the Rhine Gorge, to soaking up culture and history with a guided tour of Heidelberg, there’s an array of experiences to suit all tastes.”
