Ryanair signs distribution deal with flight aggregator Paxport
Agreement hailed as ‘significant milestone for both parties’
Ryanair has signed its first distribution deal with an online flight aggregator in what the digital distribution business hailed as “a significant milestone” for both companies.
Paxport, which has offices in Stockholm and Bristol, was confirmed as Ryanair’s first ‘approved OTA aggregator’ partner today following a partnership agreement with the company and its “network of OTA partners” which includes Tui, Loveholidays, On the Beach and dnata.
It is the latest in a series of Ryanair deals with OTAs which has seen the carrier sign distribution agreements with companies including Expedia, Etraveli, Kiwi, Lastminute.com, Loveholidays, On the Beach and Tui.
Ryanair chief marketing officer Dara Brady hailed the “exciting new agreement”, saying: “Paxport will be authorised to offer Ryanair’s low fare flights to their network of OTA partners on condition they provide full price transparency.
“This agreement guarantees that customers who book a Ryanair flight through one of Paxport’s OTA partners will have access to their myRyanair account without needing to complete Ryanair’s customer verification and will receive all essential flight updates directly.”
Paxport head of commercial Simon Taylor declared the business “excited to partner with Ryanair”, saying: “Paxport will support Ryanair’s travel trade partnership strategy by facilitating controlled distribution to approved Paxport subscribers.
“This is a significant milestone for both parties, with Paxport becoming the first flight aggregation business to enter such an agreement.
“We look forward to building on this partnership and supporting both Ryanair and the wider travel industry.”
