Paulson in "Run"

If you count “American Horror Story,” “Bird Box,” and “Run” among your fave titles on Sarah Paulson’s resume, you’ll want to put “Dust” on your radar. The Emmy winner’s latest genre project, a Searchlight Pictures horror thriller, sees her battling the elements and tormented by her past. Karrie Crouse and Will Joines are directing the pic, and the former penned it. “Dust” will “stream on Disney’s DTC platforms as a Hulu Original in the U.S., with additional release plans to be announced,” per Deadline.

Set to kick of principal photography in August, “Dust” tells the story of “a woman who is trapped by increasingly perilous dust storms and is haunted by her past encounters with a threatening presence and takes extraordinary measures to protect her family.”

Paulson was last seen in the latest installment of “American Crime Story,” which focused on Monica Lewinsky. She’s up for an Emmy for her depiction of Linda Tripp, Lewinsky’s former friend and confidant, known for revealing Lewinsky’s affair with Bill Clinton. She won an Emmy for her performance as O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark in the debut season of the FX anthology series. Her upcoming slate includes “Clybourne Park,” an adaptation of a Pulitzer Prize-winning play which will be helmed by Tony winner Pam MacKinnon.

“Dust” marks Crouse and Joines’ feature directorial debut. They’ve collaborated on shorts such as “Be Still” and “The Push.”
