Travel Counsellors rated among best places to work in UK

Responses from more than 270 staff helped Travel Counsellors become named as one of the best places to work in the UK.

The award submission to the Sunday Times survey included a written entry and survey of colleagues based at the company’s head office to determine an overall score.

In the employee engagement survey, the business achieved more than 80% for each part of a six-step framework to workplace happiness, with an overall average happiness score of 86%.

Further results revealed that 91% of employees said they felt proud to work for the organisation.

The same proportion also agreed that their employer cared for their wellbeing and that they were happy and felt safe with their workplace.

Travel Counsellors was named in the top 100 list, the second time the company has achieved this award, having been presented with the same accolade in pre-pandemic 2019.

Chief people officer Victoria Wilson said: “This achievement is testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of our colleague community all of whom go above and beyond every day to support our business, our Travel Counsellors and each other.

“Our people first strategy focuses on attracting, developing and retaining the very best talent and to do this, we aim to make our community a truly special place to belong and a great place to work. It is evident that this strong culture we have created and closely hold onto is key to our continued success and growth.”

EasyJet holidays was also named in the Sunday Times Best Places Work 2023 listings.
