Travelgenix partners with flights wholesaler Aerticket
Deal will give agents access to cheaper airfares
Travelgenix has launched a partnership with European flights wholesaler Aerticket which it says will allow travel agents to sell airfares at significantly cheaper, local rates.
The travel tech company, which creates bookable websites for travel firms, said the strategic deal with consolidator Aerticket will give agents access to more than 105 international Iata airlines, 35-plus new distribution capability (NDC) connections, and more than 20 low cost carriers.
Aerticket, a wholly owned subsidiary in the UK, also offers negotiated and private airfares, VFR fares, group bookings, NDC integration, fare filing services and ticketing consolidation.
Travelgenix said the integration of Aerticket’s services would mean greater operational efficiency for travel firms using its platform and allow agents to streamline their booking processes, reduce costs and improve the customer experience.
The key change will be the ability for agents to offer flights at local country rates, rather than fares charged in the UK, providing “significant savings” to pass on to customers as a result of Aerticket’s global Iata licences. Travelgenix said agents would have access to a broader range of travel options as well as competitive prices.
Travelgenix chief executive Andy Speight said: “At Travelgenix, we strive to empower our clients not just through technology but through valued partnerships with key suppliers such as Aerticket. It is imperative we support our clients in gaining a competitive edge, and we are excited about our newest premium supplier addition.”
Aerticket UK chief executive Reena Shah said the partnership would “unmatched value”.
She added: “This partnership is about delivering greater value and seamless solutions for our clients, and we couldn’t be more excited about the journey ahead.”
