Event venue sourcing startup The Vendry has launched a new vendor search engine within its platform for corporate event planners, the company announced Wednesday.
Users of the new search engine can search available meeting space and vendors by location and specifications, including event size, the company said in a statement. The Vendry's corporate directory includes more than 130,000 venues across 87 cities globally, according to the company.
Vendry's free search engine pulls data from a mix of publicly accessible information online, "information uploaded by venues and vendors to their own [Vendry] profiles, and feedback and insights shared about suppliers by members of our planner community," a company spokesperson told BTN. Vendry's community, dubbed Circles, is an online networking forum for event planners and venue managers.
The platform's search engine launch follows the company's March addition of its Chrome extension Copilot, which served a similar purpose in providing additional information on event vendors and venues.
