Virgin Atlantic sales chief Lee Haslett to depart
Airline hails ‘tremendous contribution’ over 14 years
Lee Haslett will leave his role as vice-president of global sales at Virgin Atlantic in February after more than 14 years with the airline.
He will take up a “new career opportunity” outside the aviation sector, the carrier confirmed.
Haslett joined Virgin Holidays in 2008, leading the now direct-sell operator’s expansion as head of retail before holding various roles across the business including head of retail, vice-president of product and distribution and, most recently, Virgin Atlantic vice-president of global sales.
Chief commercial officer Juha Jarvinen said: “I would like to thank Lee for his tremendous contribution over the last 14 years.
“He has been instrumental in rebuilding our revenues as we recover from the pandemic by leading the sales transformation plan, and he has played an important role in my commercial leadership team.”
Jarvinen confirmed the carrier would search for Haslett’s replacement both inside and outside the business.
“Lee will be with us until the end of February 2023,” he added. “We wish him well in his future endeavours, as he moves into an exciting new opportunity in the spring.”
