Bolsover eyes cruise and stay growth with expanded team

Bolsover Cruise Club has taken on more staff for its dedicated cruise and stay division.

Established in 2019 with six people, the team has grown to 19-strong, moving to a new purpose-built office space at head office in Barlborough, Derbyshire.

Further growth, including specialising in ultra-unique event cruises, is planned.

Oliver Wilson has joined from outside the industry, responsible for identifying gaps in the market, working with global providers to promote exclusive cruise and stay packages.

Revenue is currently up 100% year-on-year, which the team intends to maintain over the next 12 months, according to the company.

A dedicated administration and marketing team is now assisting the future development of the unit, which was previously outsourced.

Bolsover managing director Michael Wilson said: “This is an exciting time for the development of our company.

“Cruise and stay is undoubtedly our big success story; we have seen continued growth, and satisfaction levels among our customers are at a record high.

“With cruise and stay representing one in ten clients who book with us today, I am committed to taking whatever steps are necessary to ensure its ongoing success.”

Katie Wilson, head of the division, added: “Our focus has always been to offer our customers better travel solutions, which when backed by our industry-leading customer service and support, places us in a strong position in today’s market.

“We sell holidays to every corner of the globe. Providing we believe in the quality of the product, we will supply it – we will only ever work with providers we know can deliver the excellent service our customers rightly expect, with many of them personally vetted by our cruise experts.

“I am looking forward to my team being able to deliver even more memorable travel experiences to our customers, as we continue to grow and evolve.”
