Last Saturday Sangha from KMC Deuachen based at the Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Sintra, Portugal, celebrated the 10th anniversary of the opening of their Temple by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. It was a day for everyone, full of varied activities designed for people of all ages
The day was full of happiness, we enjoyed guided tours of the Temple and its surroundings, a public talk, songs, storytelling, and, of course, "Happy Birthday to you" with a birthday cake.
In the talk, our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Rigden, emphasised the various aspects of the Temple, and explained that it holds a treasure: the Buddha's millennia-old teachings on love, wisdom and compassion that are so necessary in these challenging times we are going through.
At the end of the event, we all shared a feeling of gratitude for the infinite kindness of our most beloved Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, summarised in three words:
