Meet Mingyur Rinpoche This Summer!

Meet mingyur rinpoche this summer!

Tergar International is delighted to announce events with Mingyur Rinpoche for 2023. Mingyur Rinpoche is a beloved meditation teacher renowned for his warmth and ability to teach to the beginner in each of us, while also nourishing us with profound wisdom. This year’s events, whether online or in-person, offer something for everyone, regardless of their level of experience.

We are very fortunate to receive Mingyur Rinpoche this year in Minneapolis and Edinburgh, as Rinpoche will be in the midst of completing a full teaching schedule around the world.

Beyond Mindfulness Talk on June 9: Meditation provides us with the tools to recognize our potential and increase our well-being, allowing us to go beyond the “blissed-out” mindfulness prevalent today.Path of Liberation Levels 1 & 2 Retreat from June 10-16: The essence of Tergar’s Path of Liberation is the recognition of the nature of mind. During this retreat, Mingyur Rinpoche will introduce the first and second pointing out instructions and bestow the White Tara empowerment. There will also be a Path of Liberation retreat in Edinburgh later in June.Community Meditation Retreat from June 16-18: This residential retreat will serve as a gathering place to cultivate the love, compassion, and wisdom inherent within each of us while being supported by the community and daily teachings of Mingyur Rinpoche.

Anytime, Anywhere Meditation World Premiere

On a very special note, this year’s events include the premiere of Anytime, Anywhere Meditation, a new program reflecting Rinpoche’s vision to make awareness, love, compassion, and wisdom accessible to everyone anytime, anywhere.

This innovative program brings traditional wisdom for the modern world and is designed to serve a broad range of individuals. As Mingyur Rinpoche says, “because awareness is as present in our lives as the air we breathe, we can access it anywhere, anytime.”

The event will kick off with Matthieu Ricard, a famous Buddhist scholar, in conversation with Mingyur Rinpoche on Friday, June 30, followed by a full weekend of teachings, guided practices, and panel discussions with guest speakers sharing insightful tips drawn from their personal experience. You will have a chance to learn from mindfulness and meditation practitioners, therapists, community workers, scientists, and researchers.

The event will take place in Edinburgh on June 30-July 2 and will be live-streamed.

Mahamudra and Tantra teachings

Since 2021, each year Rinpoche has generously imparted a complete lineage transmission to our community. Summer 2023 will mark the end of The Heart of Tantra transmission and the beginning of a new lineage transmission dedicated to Mahamudra.

Exploring the Subtle Body and Nature of Mind Retreat from July 21-24: This retreat will focus on the completion stage with concepts. Mingyur Rinpoche will focus on how we can bring all aspects of our experience onto the path and train in viewing everything we encounter with the eyes of pure perception.

Tilopa’s Song of Realization: The View of Mahamudra Retreat from August 11-14: During this retreat, Mingyur Rinpoche will guide us through the view of Mahamudra, centering the teachings around Tilopa’s root verses. This is the first time that Mingyur Rinpoche will offer a retreat on The Ganges Mahamudra in English to a Western audience. To be able to receive the profound instructions of Mahamudra from the convenience of your own home is a rare opportunity.
