New Silversea cruise sailings will take passengers to Ryder Cup and Open golf courses

Silversea has launched a new collection of golf-focused cruises that will give passengers the chance to play at iconic tournament-standard courses.

The luxury cruise line has partnered with golf travel brand PerryGolf to offer sailings that include rounds on courses such as the Royal Liverpool, which has hosted the Open, and Camiral, Costa Brava, where the Ryder Cup will be played in 2031.

Guaranteed tee times, equipment care and green fees will all be included in the fare.

Sailings include an 11-night British Isles roundtrip from Southampton departing on 14 August 2027 aboard Silver Spirit. Passengers will tee off at Royal Liverpool, a 13-time Open Championship host, before continuing to Prince’s Golf Club in Kent.

The ship then crosses to Northern Ireland for the dramatic dunes of Portstewart, concluding in Scotland with rounds at Castle Stuart and Dumbarnie Links.

There is also an eight-night winter sun option around the Mediterranean from Barcelona, departing on 25 October 2027 aboard Silver Ray. Golfing highlights include the Las Colinas course on Spain’s southeastern coast before heading to Mallorca to play Son Gual and Alcanada.

Outside of Europe, passengers can explore world-class golf courses across Australia and New Zealand aboard Silver Moon on a 14-night cruise, departing on 29 January 2028. The voyage starts at Tasmania Golf Club atop Barilla Bluff. The ship will also visit the Otago Golf Club and Royal Wellington before playing two of the Southern Hemisphere’s most well-known cliffside courses – Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs.

Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, said: "Silversea is built on giving guests access to experiences that go beyond what most travel can offer.

“Our partnership with PerryGolf extends that standard to golf – placing guests on some of the world's most celebrated courses, with every detail managed and every comfort included. This is what Silversea does best – removing the barriers between our guests and the experiences they care about most."

Guests can rent golf clubs or bring their own, which PerryGolf would manage throughout the sailing.
