Royal lines to remove vaccination mandate on select sailings
Unvaccinated passengers can sail from any European homeport from September 5

Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises are removing the requirement for passengers to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 on select sailings from September 5.
Passengers will be able to sail with Royal on certain voyages, including those departing Los Angeles, Galveston, New Orleans and any European homeport, regardless of their vaccination status.
Celebrity has removed the requirement on sailings from the UK, Europe with the exception of Iceland; and Los Angeles, according to its website.
Until then, only unvaccinated guests under the age of 12 will be allowed on the lines’ ships.
However, the lines added passengers who are not fully vaccinated as per the European Medicines Agency standards will need to take an onboard test to disembark in Greece and Spain.
On The Healthy Sail Center site, Royal said: “We continue to work with our destination partners to evolve our protocols and align with the broader travel industry, as we transition to the point that everyone can vacation with us.”
It comes after Royal Caribbean Group dropped pre-embarkation Covid-19 testing for vaccinated passengers on cruises of five days or less on August 8.
