Canada has relaxed its Covid-19 travel restrictions and is ready and waiting to welcome your clients with open arms. The best bit? There has never been so much to enjoy.
From its peaks to its parks, its cities to its sights, Canada’s appeal is as broad as it is diverse and offers myriad experiences for travellers who are both new to the destination or returning once again. Selling Canada has never been easier – keep reading to discover its top draws.
Adrenaline pursuits
With its epic mountain ranges, impressive glaciers and the world’s largest number of freshwater lakes, Canada is the true home of all things adrenaline.
Thrill seekers can throw themselves off The Rock – North America’s highest bungee jump at 200ft, located just 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa – whizz down white-water rapids or take a heart- pumping helicopter ride to start a heli-hike, fish or ski experience. Whichever one your client chooses, Canada will be sure to make the photo album pop.
Nature experiences
From grizzly to spirit and all the black, brown and polar bears in between, Canada certainly has no shortage of this fascinating animal. In fact, the country is home to 60% of the world’s bear population.
See them roadside from the safety of your car, head up north to walk with polar bears in the wild (summer and autumn) or book a package to see one from the comfort of a hide, boat or Zodiac. The options are endless – just make sure you visit during spring or autumn for the best chance of a sighting.
Epic sightseeing
From the views to the experiences, Canada is breathtaking in every sense of the word. Hearing the thunderous sound of water as you stand at the edge of Niagara Falls; drinking in the sun-drenched view from Alberta’s blue-as-can-be Moraine Lake; or feeling like an ant among the incredible Rockies – every experience in Canada will leave you in awe and wanting to come back for more.
Wide open spaces
Did you know Canada is home to the second-oldest National Park system in the world? Most visitors head to Jasper and Banff, famed for their crystalline lakes and snow-capped forests, but there’s a wealth of equally exciting parks to be explored elsewhere.
Try a coastal national park like the Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland and Labrador, with its soaring fjords, barren cliffs, beaches and bogs. Or, head inwards and visit Riding Mountain National Park in the Prairie Mountain Province of Manitoba or Toronto’s Rouge National Urban Park.
Magnificent mountains
Canada is home to mountains far and wide, though it tends to be the Rockies that garner the most attention. While this mountain range is home to hulking gems like Mount Robson and Mount Columbia, there are plenty of others to explore, from the Coast Mountains to the St Elias Mountains.
The latter, in the Yukon Territory, is home to Canada’s highest peak, Mount Logan, which rises to a lofty 5,956 metres.
